Day three of the Sarajevo–Hvar loop: leave Makarska on the Adriatic coast road through Tučepi, Igrane, and Gradac, then follow the Neretva delta past Baćina and Opuzen into Bosnia near Metković. The ride continues through Čapljina and Počitelj to Mostar, then turns north via Konjic, Bradina, Ivan sedlo, and Tarčin to Sarajevo. Most distance is paved along the coast and main valleys; the return through Herzegovina includes Trans Euro Trail sections and gravel or dirt that can be wet after rain.
You cross from Croatia into Bosnia and Herzegovina near the Neretva delta; carry your passport or ID, bike registration, and valid cross-border insurance. Trans Euro Trail and unpaved links on the return through Herzegovina can be muddy or slippery after rain. In marked mine-risk areas along TET corridors, stay on the established track.
